Designing a website for design agency is balancing act. On one hand, the agency is their own client, so they are free to do whatever they want, they have a blank check. Total freedom. Now, in a way, the agency should certainly flex there muscles with there own work but if not kept in check this can be a curse more than a blessing because, on the other hand, you need to deliver the necessary message that your user is looking for and ultimately, the work is what people want to see.
Basically, the goal of the site was to make things interesting, but make the actually work more important that the website.
